The Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC) — formerly the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) — registers building practitioners in Victoria. Registration categories such as Domestic Builder (Unlimited), Domestic Builder (Limited) and Commercial Builder each carry their own qualification, experience and, in many cases, a competency interview. Getting the category right before you sit that assessment is the difference between one clean pathway and a false start.
